Meet Managing Partner and Director of Purchasing Lynn Horne

Born and raised in Bartow, FL, Lynn Horne has been married to Sandy for 27+ years with 3 children: Nic, Jake Ann and Trey; and 2 grandchildren Audrianna and Trenton. He moved to Bradenton in 2009 to join the family business alongside his brother John (Gran Jefe) as the Director of Purchasing and Managing Partner at the Pier location. Lynn became a member of the Hernando de Soto Historical Society in 2010, serving on the Board of Directors, and is a past Captain of the Crewe of De Soto. Lynn loves the outdoors whether hunting, golfing or on a boat.

UPDATE – as of 6/3/19 the Pier is no longer serving breakfast. Our new hours are Sunday to Thursday 11 am-10 pm and Friday to Saturday 11 am to 11 pm. Never work before breakfast…and if you have to work before breakfast…eat breakfast first! Our delicious breakfast at the Pier is served daily from 8-11am. 5th Annual River Regatta

The 5th annual River Regatta returns on February 9th and our AMOB Fam is so excited to be a part of this event! Musical entertainment, family-fun interactive activities and two different classes of speed boating will take place throughout the day…OH, and we will be on the North side of the river selling our mouth-watering Fried Pollock Fish and Fried Gulf Shrimp! We will even have chicken tenders and french fries for the kiddos (and for the adults that are still kiddos at heart). Ken DeVice is the General Manager at our Cortez location. He has been a part of our AMOB family for over 13 years and moved to Florida in 1980. Previously, Ken worked with Roadhouse Grill, El Conquistador Country Club (prior to being known as the IMG Golf & Country Club) and Lone Star Steakhouse. This holiday season, we invited the 30 foster children currently living at the nearby Manatee Children’s Services shelter as well as MCF volunteers. Manatee Children’s Services seeks to advocate for and provide the resources, skills, and shelter to alleviate abuse through prevention and intervention for all children and their families. Gary Harkness is a Managing Partner with the Anna Maria Oyster Bars. He left Northern Ireland for Bradenton in 1980 where he was a rear gunner on a milk float in Belfast. He writes, “It was a great move and I found paradise! No more cold rainy days for me.” Gary hooked up with John Horne at a joint on Anna Maria Island called Fast Eddie’s, and has been in the restaurant business ever since because he loves the people he meets.
