Each year, the Anna Maria Oyster Bar family recognizes a special group or organization with an annual Christmas Dinner party. This holiday season, we invited the 30 foster children currently living at the nearby Manatee Children’s Services shelter as well as MCF volunteers. Manatee Children’s Services seeks to advocate for and provide the resources, skills, and shelter to alleviate abuse through prevention and intervention for all children and their families.
This special holiday dinner is always a great and memorable time for all who join us… in the past we have hosted our Dive Into Reading children and families, PACE Center For Girls students, and other community organizations who work tirelessly to ensure that the Manatee County area becomes a better place to live.
We had our holiday dinner with the children at our Landside Anna Maria Oyster Bar location and on December 10. We were honored to provide a delicious and festive dinner, yummy desserts and a few fun surprises for the kids. After all, it isn’t the holiday season without a little gift giving!
Speaking of which, we chose MCF as the recipient organization of our annual Holiday Gift Drive, as well.
We would like to thank the many amazing AMOB Family members who opened their hearts to support our annual holiday gift drive. Little do they know that on Christmas Day there will be more presents waiting for them, thanks to your donations and support. Now it’s time for Santa to work his magic!
And a big thanks to some of the staff at Landside that either skipped our staff party, or were late getting there, because they volunteered to serve and clean up after our Christmas dinner for the kids. We have so many awesome people in our AMOB Family working with us!
Later that same night, we held our annual Staff Holiday Party at Motorworks Brewing. This was our venue for the third year in a row now…their hospitality is great.
