5th Annual River Regatta

The 5th annual River Regatta returns on February 9th and our AMOB Fam is so excited to be a part of this event! Musical entertainment, family-fun interactive activities and two different classes of speed boating will take place throughout the day…OH, and we will be on the North side of the river selling our mouth-watering Fried Pollock Fish and Fried Gulf Shrimp! We will even have chicken tenders and french fries for the kiddos (and for the adults that are still kiddos at heart). Meet General Manager Ken DeVice

Ken DeVice is the General Manager at our Cortez location. He has been a part of our AMOB family for over 13 years and moved to Florida in 1980. Previously, Ken worked with Roadhouse Grill, El Conquistador Country Club (prior to being known as the IMG Golf & Country Club) and Lone Star Steakhouse. At the Anna Maria Oyster Bars, Ken favorite menu item is our mouthwatering Danish Baby Back Ribs. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, spending time with family and watching NASCAR. We are so happy to share that the fifth annual (SOLD OUT..five in a row) Horne & Moon Social “Finale” was a huge success! Tim Bingham is a native of Kentucky who moved to Florida in 1996. He has been part of the AMOB family for 12 years, joining us from Johnny Leverock’s Seafood House. 2018 AMOB Christmas Charity Dinner/Christmas Party

Each year, the Anna Maria Oyster Bar family recognizes a special group or organization with an annual Christmas Dinner party. This holiday season, we invited the 30 foster children currently living at the nearby Manatee Children’s Services shelter as well as MCF volunteers. Manatee Children’s Services seeks to advocate for and provide the resources, skills, and shelter to alleviate abuse through prevention and intervention for all children and their families. Gary Harkness is a Managing Partner with the Anna Maria Oyster Bars. He left Northern Ireland for Bradenton in 1980 where he was a rear gunner on a milk float in Belfast. He writes, “It was a great move and I found paradise!
