School is back in session! We can hardly believe that it’s already time for the kiddos to head back to school. Time flies when we’re having fun… and you know we’re always having fun at the Anna Maria Oyster Bars. Manatee County’s schools are back in session today, and Sarasota starts next week, so it only seems appropriate that the theme for August is Education… we’ll have much more to share in our “12 Cheers” message which will come to your inbox next week. Today is our annual Longevity Trip! This is a really special day for us because we get to celebrate our incredible teammates (really, they are #AMOBFamily members!) who keep the wheels spinning across all four Anna Maria Oyster Bar locations. This year, 92 staff members are eligible to join us. These folks have been with our company for more than three years. They represent a combined 852 years of service at at an AMOB… Average tenure of these 92 staff is 9.3 years. Pretty impressive! We appreciate our staff so much, and know that we could not be in business
12 cheers update – We are so happy to have raised $944 that will directly benefit the supplemental grant program by Manatee Education Foundation, thanks to YOUR support! A Sunset Cocktail at Anna Maria Oyster Bar, coupled with some signature shucked molluscs, makes for a quintessential tropical experience. INGREDIENTS 2 ounces Cruzan Vanilla Rum 4 ounces pineapple juice 1 ounce grenadine MIXOLOGY Fill a hurricane glass with ice. Shake the rum and pineapple juice with ice. Pour the grenadine into the bottom of the glass, and strain the shaken mixture into the glass. Garnish with a speared maraschino cherry and an orange slice. Happy birthday, Anna Maria Oyster Bars… Volume 7 I sure do appreciate the job our military does for all of us and find it hard to imagine being away from family and friends being stationed in a far-away land defending my country. I know the work that Manatee Operation Troop Support (MOTS) does sending care packages to our enlisted men and women from our area with items to remind them of home and to let them know we’re all thinking of them…and thanking them and we appreciate them… that’s why this month our birthday celebration is honoring and helping
Rain couldn’t dampen the FUN at our first-ever Summer Fest! We had a wonderful time at Summer Fest on Saturday, and we hope you did, as well! A guest absolutely made my day when he emailed me with some feedback complimenting our staff, the experience, and the delicious food.
