2018 AMOB Christmas Charity Dinner/Christmas Party

Each year, the Anna Maria Oyster Bar family recognizes a special group or organization with an annual Christmas Dinner party. Manatee Children’s Services seeks to advocate for and provide the resources, skills, and shelter to alleviate abuse through prevention and intervention for all children and their families.   This special holiday dinner is always a great and memorable time for all who join us… in the past we have hosted our Dive Into Reading children and families,

No more cold rainy days for me.” Gary hooked up with John Horne at a joint on Anna Maria Island called Fast Eddie’s, and has been in the restaurant business ever since because he loves the people he meets. Red Tide: What You Really Want To Know

Red tide is affecting our entire region, without question — but the BIG question people are asking is whether they should be concerned about eating sick fish. On Sunday, September 9 this topic was discussed on In Focus with Allison Walker Torres along with the economic impact of red tide. Our Gran Jefe of the Anna Maria Oyster Bars, John Horne was featured on the segment along with three other guests who also shared their knowledge and experience with red tide: Sen. Linda Stewart, D-Orlando Charlie Hunsicker, director of the Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources Department Elliott Falcione, executive director

ST. PATRICK’S DAY 2018

St. Patrick’s Day 2018

We were all a wee bit Irish this St. Patrick’s Day! Guests reached the rainbow’s end as they arrived at the O-Bars, we were serving up a classic holiday favorite: All You Can Eat Corned Beef ‘n’ Cabbage – and to wash it down, we had green beers on draft… after all, it’s not an Irish celebration without it! They don’t call it the greenest day of the year for no reason – our teams, and guests, were dressed up and covered in green. Take a look at the pictures below, click the image to see the full gallery.

THE HANGOVER RECIPE AND LYNN & ANN’S 60TH ANNIVERSARY

The Hangover Recipe and Lynn & Ann’s 60th Anniversary

This article originally appeared in the Island Sun As I’ve written before…we’re all about food in our family…whether it’s cooking, eating, growing, buying, ordering or sitting around a table after a HUGE meal…our family is all about food…and wine! And we have been as long as I can remember. Some of my fondest memories came around our small dining table where we ate growing up. We had 2 meals every day at that table. Breakfast and dinner were always shared by the four of us around that table. After breakfast we passed the four sections of the Tampa Tribune around
