Meet Jack Cruse, Manager & an employee of AMOB since 1998!

Tell us a little about your background. I grew up in a small town called Perryville on the banks of the Tennessee River. I got married right out of high school and became a father two years later. I moved to Florida in 1980 but didn’t start a career in the restaurant business until 1998 on the City Pier on Anna Maria Island at AMOB, and I’ve been here happily ever since. What are your key accomplishments in your field/on the job? I think my strong suits are dealing with so many different personalities with my staff and making sure

TRY OUR DRINK OF THE MONTH: SHELL YEAH!

Try our Drink of the Month: Shell Yeah!

In May, we started recycling our oyster shells. Thousands of oysters are consumed at local seafood restaurants in Florida like Anna Maria Oyster Bar. But how? Steps to Oyster Recycling: Oysters are consumed at seafood restaurants and placed in the special bins provided by Waste Pro. The shells are picked up every week. The recycled shells are turned into “oyster modules” created for habitat restoration projects. The habitat begins
