Meet our Pier Kitchen Manager, Chef Will Parard!

MEET OUR PIER KITCHEN MANAGER, CHEF WILL PARARD!

Tell us a little bit about your background.

I was born and raised in wonderful Bradenton, FL. I went to Manatee High School, Class of 06. I am an avid waterman and outdoor life enthusiast. When I am not working I am in, on, or around water or the woods, or in the kitchen cooking as food with flavor is my other greatest passion in life. Seeing someone’s face light up after tasting my food keeps me going.

What are your key accomplishments in your field/on the job?

Working my way up to head kitchen manager at AMOB has been the most rewarding. Being lucky enough to be involved with the Suncoast View Morning Show was definitely the most exciting thing I’ve done so far in my line of work!

Why did you choose to work in this industry?

Food is life. We must all eat. So, we might as well enjoy the process. My grandfather, Gene Parard, and my father, William Parard, were both great cooks and I’m following the family tradition.

Tell us about your approach to customer service.

If it’s physically possible, and within means, make the customer happy, period. A warm smile and a slice of key lime pie go a long way.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Do every job the best you can no matter what, and be true to yourself, even if everyone else around you is fake.

Is there something that excites you so much it keeps you awake the night before?

Fishing and road trips!
