6th Annual Tidewell Day

6TH ANNUAL TIDEWELL DAY

Our 6th annual Tidewell Day was a huge success, thanks to YOU! Tidewell Hospice is one of the largest not-for-profit hospices in the United States. They serve more than 1,000 patients daily in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties. Tidewell offers home-based comfort care to everyone, regardless of ability to pay, involving the support of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, certified nursing assistants, chaplains and volunteers.

This day is very special to our Anna Maria Oyster Bar family because the angels at Tidewell cared for both “Old Man,” Jerry Yettaw, one of the original chefs at AMOB, and Ann Senn Horne, John and Lynn’s mom. We started Tidewell Day 7 years ago, when Jerry passed, and extended the honor to our beloved Momma Ann this year, too.

On February 24th, all of our signature Danish Baby Back Rib proceeds were donated directly to Tidewell Hospice. This year, we raised a total amount of $1,746.75!

The O-Bar is dedicated to giving back to our community. Throughout the month of March, we are teaming up with The Women’s Resource Center. Stop in at any of our locations and donate a gently used women’s clothing garment and receive $5 off ANY appetizer with purchase of an entree!

Thank you, Tidewell and WRC, for all that you do! We appreciate you!
