970 WFLA’S BREAKFAST ON THE BAY COMES TO THE PIER

Today started EARLY with News Radio 970 WFLA broadcasting live right from our deck, on air from 5am to 9am. Another spectacular sunrise greeted attendees, and Mimosas and Bloodies were flowing while John Horne cooked up breakfast favorites for the Visit Bradenton Gulf Islands team and friends.

This special broadcast was part of Visit Bradenton Gulf Island’s Restaurant Month campaign, where for 30 days in October you can eat more and spend less in the Bradenton area. You can even win a five-night stay complete with round trip airfare and restaurant vouchers. Just post a picture of yourself enjoying the food in one of the participating restaurants to Facebook or Instagram with #DineCoastal.  Learn more on our recent blog >

AM Tampa Bay usually originates in Tampa with this morning program running weekdays from 5-9 am. The hosts Jack Harris, Aaron Jacobson, Jeff Kuyrkendall and Katie Butchino keep their listeners informed and amused with the latest news, traffic, weather and more.

970 WFLA brought their whole AM Tampa Bay crew, including local legend Jack Harris, according to whom, bacon was “invented” here. We like the way Jack thinks, so we “rewarded him with a plate of fresh cooked bacon…we invented that this morning, just for him!

John Horne went on air with Jack & company around 6:15am… if you missed it (because let’s face it, that’s super early), you can tune into John’s interview here >
