7th Annual Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing

7TH ANNUAL PROJECT HEALING WATERS FLY FISHING

This year, the Annual Crosthwait Memorial Fishing Tournament & The Bradenton Yacht Club, hosted the 7th annual Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Tournament on May 19, 2018.

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) is a nationwide program bringing high-quality, full-spectrum fly fishing to disabled active military service personnel across the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, in Military Hospitals and the Warrior Transition Command. According to their website, PHWFF has become recognized as an innovative leader and model in the field of therapeutic outdoor recreation for the disabled, through its successful application of the sport of fly fishing as a rehabilitation tool.

Around 30 Florida disabled veterans and their volunteers went off for a beautiful morning for fly fishing.

We were honored for the opportunity to provide lunch to these fine gentlemen after they came back and had stories to tell! A small way of saying thank you for the sacrifices they have made. Click here to read more about the day.
