Mother’s Day 2018 at AMOB

MOTHER’S DAY 2018 AT AMOB

Mother’s Day, known around here as “Put Your Mom to Work Day”, was a spectacular day. We were so happy to see all the loving families stop by for a bite to eat, showing their moms some well-deserved appreciation.

We had carnations handed out to all the moms when they arrived, including two special ladies helping deliver them out – John and Lynn’s mom, Ann Horne, along with retired AMOB family member Miss Julia McCall.

It was a delight to see our Miss Julia. Wow… we all miss her at Cortez. She retired 3 years ago as our Day Host, after working circles around staff a quarter her age! We can’t thank them enough for handing out carnations to all the moms at Cortez and Landside! All moms also had their choice of picking a Mimosa (ideal for those visiting for breakfast or Brunch at the Pier) or a Cup of Soup (a perfect addition to Prime Rib available on Sunday). Here’s a picture of John visiting Ann (on the left) and Miss Julia (on the right).

We also had a raffle going on throughout all locations… one lucky mother was randomly chosen at each of the 4 AMOBs to receive a souvenir gift bag accompanied with a $150 gift card! Linda Hooey was the lucky winner of the Cortez location’s prize! Here she is (pictured below), with our Cortez Manager, the lovely Andi!
