HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MAMA & PAPA HORNE!

Ann & Lynn Horne of Anna Maria celebrate 60 years of marriage on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MAMA & PAPA HORNE!

Ann & Lynn were married on Saturday, November 16th, 1957 at the First Baptist
Church in Bartow, FL and enjoyed a one-day honeymoon in Orlando. They lived and raised their two boys, Lynn, Jr.  & John in Bartow, although Ann’s hair did turn white after the birth of her second son… probably knowing the shenanigans they would get up to!

Ann would visit Anna Maria as a young girl and her dream was to have a beach house and she realized this dream in 1977. Lynn worked as a citrus & fertilizer consultant, ending his 45-year career with Ben Hill Griffin in Frostproof. Ann was a court reporter and started Ann S. Horne Reporting Service in Bartow and enjoyed a 42-year career in court reporting – the stories she can tell!

Spending their time between Woodfin Mountain, NC and Anna Maria Island, they also love to travel the world with Italy as one of their favorite destinations and already have a trip planned for next summer.

They will celebrate their 60th Anniversary on Anna Maria with a Southern Style Luau on Saturday, November 18th with friends and family who have been with them throughout their wonderful journey, many who were at their wedding in 1957.
