We are beyond excited to announce we are officially REOPEN at all four of our locations!

A Message From John Horne

At the Anna Maria Oyster Bar, the health and safety of our guests and staff are our top priority. We have taken every precaution possible to ensure our guests have a safe and enjoyable place to dine, as well as our staff, to have a safe and enjoyable place to work.

If you’ve followed the Anna Maria Oyster Bar story over the last 25 years, you know that we consider our staff across all four locations to be one big happy AMOB Family. Our mission and values are important to this family, so much that every single day, we do everything within our power to make sure every guest we welcome into our Oyster Bars also feels like part of that family.

We’re proud to announce that the Anna Maria Oyster Bar was the very FIRST restaurant in the state of Florida to achieve the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Seal of Commitment. This award is for demonstrating dedication to enhanced safety and sanitation practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To qualify for the FRLA Seal of Commitment, businesses must ensure that all managers have a current food manager certification, all employees have a current Florida food handler certificate, and all employees have completed the FRLA COVID-19 Sanitation & Safety Course. Additionally, establishments must meet specific sanitation standards outlined in the FRLA Seal of Commitment Guidelines. Once compliance with these guidelines is confirmed, FRLA will award the Seal of Commitment.

We wanted to be the first restaurant to receive the FRLA Seal of Commitment as we feel it is so important to not only talk the talk but walk the walk in keeping our restaurants safe and secure for our guests and our staff during these crazy times. We are honored to be the first in the state, and we hope there will be many more. Along with our training, we have also introduced a new cleaning protocol, Hypochlorous Acid Solution. This misting system was recommended to us by a local company that owns nursing homes and assisted living facilities that have had ZERO cases of COVID-19. Hypochlorous Acid Solution is nontoxic and it provides a unique power to eradicate dangerous organisms while NOT causing harm to our cells. We have implemented this system in the morning before opening, at night before closing, and of course, between each party of guests.

As we said, AMOB will continue to operate at the highest level of COVID-recommended health & sanitation practices, but we need YOU to do the same for us. Please, please, when you’re in our restaurants, join our AMOB Family in wearing a mask. Masks are mandatory when moving about the restaurant. The only time you may remove your mask is when seated at your table. We also encourage you to take frequent advantage of our sanitization stations and support our staff in their efforts to serve you safely.

We don’t expect you to eat or drink with your mask on, but as you move about the restaurant, please wear your mask.

If you choose to not dine inside, we have expanded our outdoor dining area at all four locations. Or, if you’d prefer your favorite AMOB meal at home, we absolutely understand. We now have enhanced packaging and ordering procedures for takeout & curbside pickup, so please take advantage of this convenient service. When you are out and about, please continue social distancing, and please, wear a mask.

It is up to ALL OF US to work together and keep our community safe. Wearing a mask is a healthy choice, and we strongly, and respectfully, encourage you to choose the mask. Wearing a mask is a healthy and caring statement.

Thank you for your continuous support and for trusting AMOB. Our doors will continue to be open for you to celebrate & enjoy a safe, fun visit, and now, we’re asking you to be here for us.
