12 Cheers for 20 Years: October Recap

For the month of October, as part of our 12 Cheers for 20 Years Campaign, we raised money for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  In total, Team “Shuck Cancer” raised $7,008… and had a great time doing it. To raise additional funds for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer beyond the monthly 12 Cheers Birthday Cocktail proceeds, our teams also sold pink “Shuck Cancer” t-shirts and buttons… at some of the stores, we also sold raffle tickets for great prizes! Pictured here is Vicki Giess who won $140 in a 50-50 raffle at our Cortez Oyster Bar.

Hurricane Irma Victory Party Update from AMOB

Important Update from AMOB We’re so glad to hear that most of our friends & family encountered minimal damage from Hurricane Irma. Our thoughts are with those of you still struggling to get home, who are experiencing substantial damage to their home, have no power… or worst of all…. no Internet (just kidding)! Many of you have inquired about the status of our restaurants… thank you so much for your concern. There was little to no physical damage to any of the four Anna Maria Oyster Bars. Some of the locations have power, some do not. Our Ellenton location will

Hurricane Irma Update from AMOB

While we all love a great Hurricane Party here at the Anna Maria Oyster Bars, we also know that we need to realize that Hurricane Irma is not a lady to be trifled with. Not sure I’ve met a lady to trifle with yet…but… With that in mind we are making plans to keep our Oyster Bar family safe and sound this weekend. The Anna Maria Oyster Bars will be closing Saturday and Sunday and hopefully reopening sometime on Monday! We’ll play that by ear as the storm hopefully passes and leaves us all safe and sound, with only suffering from Cabin

12 Cheers for 20 Years: September

12 cheers update – With your help, we raised $889 for Turning Points this month!  And many of you chose to contribute by supporting the supply drive, as well. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!     Happy birthday, Anna Maria Oyster Bars… Volume 9 Wow, we were incredibly lucky in Manatee County and at all of the AMOBs…during last week’s storm…we still have several of our staff members without power at their homes and we’re doing all we can to help…sending food home, sending ice bags home…anything we could do to support. All three of our stores on the mainland

Longevity Trip 2017

Today is our annual Longevity Trip! This is a really special day for us because we get to celebrate our incredible teammates (really, they are #AMOBFamily members!) who keep the wheels spinning across all four Anna Maria Oyster Bar locations. This year, 92 staff members are eligible to join us. These folks have been with our company for more than three years. They represent a combined 852 years of service at at an AMOB… Average tenure of these 92 staff is 9.3 years. Pretty impressive! We appreciate our staff so much, and know that we could not be in business

12 Cheers for 20 Years: July

Happy birthday, Anna Maria Oyster Bars… Volume 7 I sure do appreciate the job our military does for all of us and find it hard to imagine being away from family and friends being stationed in a far-away land defending my country. I know the work that Manatee Operation Troop Support (MOTS) does sending care packages to our enlisted men and women from our area with items to remind them of home and to let them know we’re all thinking of them…and thanking them and we appreciate them… that’s why this month our birthday celebration is honoring and helping
