Thank You for a Great 2022!

What a memorable year 2022 was…in so many ways, wonderful and exciting….and in so many ways, challenging…and I know many of you can relate. We’re all learning how to re-assess our expectations of how things should go vs. the reality we live in, which looks a little different from how it did ten, or even three years ago!  For example, I expected our construction timelines to run about six to eight months…but it turns out that eighteen months is more realistic 🥴 Here’s a picture of the Executive Team (not pictured, our COO Chris Frawley) at the new UTC location

Anna Maria Oyster Bar Hurricane Ian Efforts

Hurricane Ian Relief

As we all well know, the Bradenton area dodged a bullet named Hurricane Ian.  The hours leading up to the storm were some of the most stressful that I’ve experienced in quite some time, and as we learned…with good reason. We hope that all of you sustained minimal damage to your property and that your loved ones are all safe. As restaurateurs, we consider it our duty to serve as “second responders,” and we take this very seriously. As soon as it’s safe to do so, our teams work hard to provide you with a safe, comfortable, happy place to

As you know, a dolphin has been the centerpiece of our iconic logo since we opened our doors back in 1995. We thought it was about time that we give that dolphin a name and officially bring it to life. She’s flipping excited to meet you! Here’s a message we received on our shell-phone

History of AMOB

1995 Anna Maria Oyster Bar is founded on the Anna Maria City Pier. The City Pier will always be home to us, because that’s where we established regulars and made a name for ourselves with our fresh seafood & fun atmosphere. However, we started off real slow here in the fun category. despite one favorite memory I have of the City Pier, and there are MANY, One night we were incredibly busy… and we had been getting close to breaking records on our busiest day ever. I made the statement if we did over $10,000 in sales in one day

Statement From John Horne Regarding COVID-19

These are crazy times… unlike any I ever thought we’d ALL be facing. Social distancing… I don’t think I’ve ever heard that terminology before… can’t wait until I never hear it again. However, it is crucial in this time of COVID-19. But, so is family… and the AMOB Family is doing everything we can to continue to serve you, to keep our staff working as long as we can while adhering to ever-changing messages from Tallahassee and Washington. Including the message we just received a bit ago, that effective immediately, restaurant dining rooms are ordered closed. However, we can still
