MEET SERVER LISA DAVIS!

Meet Server Lisa Davis!

Why did you choose to work in this industry? I absolutely love the environment of hospitality, especially at AMOB! I love working around fun people! Tell us about your approach to customer service. I always “feel-out” the customers first. I try to read their body language and base my service around that. What would you pet say about you if we asked for a reference? “She can’t keep her hand off of me and she talks to me like I’m a baby – it’s so annoying!” Describe the most incredible view you’ve ever seen. When I was in Colorado, the

MORE TIME FOR PIER TIME

More Time for Pier Time

A wise man once said, “if it don’t make dollars, it don’t make sense,” and with that advice in mind, we’ve made the decision to discontinue daily Breakfast and Weekend Brunch service at the Pier location. Looks like no more #SundayFunday breakfast shifts from me on the Pier. Unfortunately, the response to offering a morning menu at the Pier hasn’t been what we’d hoped. After more than 3 years serving breakfast and brunch, we’ll shift our hours back to better serve the Island demographics of both locals and visitors. Who’da thunk that people enjoying watching our gorgeous sunsets while eating

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2019 MANATEACH WINNERS!

Congratulations to the 2019 ManaTeach winners!

It was a pleasure to co-sponsor this year’s ManaTeach rewards program along with Gettel Automotive. ManaTeach is an authentic campaign inviting all Manatee County School District teachers to “tell their story” using current media trends. Area instructors submitted 2-minute videos throughout the year and a winner was chosen each month. The winners won a dinner for two at AMOB or a full vehicle treatment at Gettel Automotive! The Grand Prize was chosen for the whole year, where the winners were surprised with a visit from our very own John Horne and a camera crew from ABC 7 in their classroom

SHELL YEAH WE RECYCLE!

Shell Yeah We Recycle!

Thousands of oysters are consumed at local seafood restaurants in Florida like Anna Maria Oyster Bar. The shells are usually discarded before piling up in our ever-growing landfills. In August 2018, Waste Pro teamed up with Solutions To Avoid A Red Tide (START), a non-profit organization that focuses on funding research and increasing public awareness about the importance of preserving Florida’s marine environment. We’re proud to say we have joined the movement! Waste Pro provided AMOB with oyster shell recycling bins. The oyster shells we recycle will be sent to Perico Preserve where the shells are then placed in a
