We were thrilled to participate in Chef at the Market at the Bradenton Farmers’ Market on Saturday, May 6, sponsored by our good friends at Realize Bradenton! It was even more special to team up with Darwin Brewing Co….. creators of the AWESOME Pier Beer …. to create a food & beer pairing. We chose to integrate Summadayze IPA, a flagship DBC brew, into the AMOB Hash, an AMOB on the Pier Brunch favorite. Palmetto Elementary School Visits AMOB

We were so pleased to host a group of children from Palmetto Elementary School on Friday, April 28, 2017. The students who attended were the top 3 “donations collectors” for our Walk-a-Thon and the Top Class by percentage. We had 2 additional treats to our lunch: John and Amanda from the AMOB gave each student a book congratulating them on their PAW PRIDE! The students eagerly started reading the books the minute they were in their hands. I don’t know how many of you know this…but I was named an Official PACE Girl by the PACE Girls when they nominated the Oyster Bars for the Corporate Spirit Award at the Manatee Community Foundation’s Spirit of Manatee Awards. “Jerry’s Day” Check Presentation to Tidewell Hospice

Anna Maria Oyster Bar founder John Horne and family gathered at the Landside O-Bar to proudly present a check for $4,887.34 to Tidewell Hospice’s Vice President of Philanthropy, Aida Matic. Proceeds from two events in February 2017 raised these funds, the monthly “12 Cheers for 20 Years” event and the annual “Ribs for Jerry” Day, in memory of Anna Maria Oyster Bar’s original chef, Jerry Yettaw, whose daughter attended the check presentation.
