AMOB goes to Washington, D.C. (Part 2) Thank you again to Congressman Vern Buchanan for giving me the opportunity to speak in front of the House of Representatives Ways and Means Tax Policy Subcommittee. Great to get the word out on how business is confident and thriving in Manatee County! The new tax cuts have shown opportunity for us to reinvest in the company – purchasing new equipment and presenting bonuses to workers. This year, the Annual Crosthwait Memorial Fishing Tournament & The Bradenton Yacht Club, hosted the 7th annual Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Tournament on May 19, 2018. Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) is a nationwide program bringing high-quality, full-spectrum fly fishing to disabled active military service personnel across the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, in Military Hospitals and the Warrior Transition Command. According to their website, PHWFF has become recognized as an innovative leader and model in the field of therapeutic outdoor recreation for the disabled, through its successful application of the sport of fly fishing as a rehabilitation tool.

As you may know,  we are HUGE supporters of local education! So, we stayed busy celebrating during Teacher Appreciation Week and our Class of 2018 graduates! We are so happy to have the opportunity to highlight and support local educators and students. Congratulations Class of 2018! John and Amanda hosted the AMOB employees who are graduating this spring for a wonderful Brunch at the Pier honoring their achievements. We are SO very excited about our new collaboration with the Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County & Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading!
