Hurricane Irma Victory Party Update from AMOB

HURRICANE IRMA VICTORY PARTY UPDATE FROM AMOB

Important Update from AMOB

We’re so glad to hear that most of our friends & family encountered minimal damage from Hurricane Irma. Our thoughts are with those of you still struggling to get home, who are experiencing substantial damage to their home, have no power… or worst of all…. no Internet (just kidding)!

Many of you have inquired about the status of our restaurants… thank you so much for your concern. There was little to no physical damage to any of the four Anna Maria Oyster Bars. Some of the locations have power, some do not.

Our Ellenton location will re-open TODAY at 12pm! Come down and see us for (much-needed) Margaritas, which will be awesome as always, but fresh seafood items will be available on a limited basis. We have plenty of booze… so let’s call it a “Hurricane Victory Party!”

Cortez will be the next to open and finally Landside. (The Pier was already scheduled for a short vacation/roof repair. Reopening date might be adjusted.) As soon as we have good news, we will post updates on Facebook, so please stay tuned!

We also want to commend our community on its strength and resolve this week as folks pulled together to prepare, helped our neighbors (even the manatees…click here if you missed the heartwarming video of the beached manatees rescued by onlookers).

If you see a first responder, LEO, government official, meteorologist or reporter, shelter volunteer, and anyone else who put the community’s safety before their own… be sure to give them a big pat on the back. Utility workers – show ID and eat for 50% off through Sunday 9/16!

We prepared for the worst, hoped for the best, and ended up somewhere in between. Many others weren’t so lucky. Continue to stay safe, and we hope more than ever to see you at AMOB very soon.

And no matter the hectic chaos we may encounter, we never forget what happened 16 years ago yesterday. God Bless America!

………..Elvis is BACK in the building!
