SENSATIONAL TIME AT SAVE OUR SHORES LONG TABLE DINNER

On Sunday, August 26 our community came together to show their support. It was absolutely incredible to see over 150 community members come out and show their support for the area and red tide research. The dinner benefited Mote Marine and Start (Solutions To Avoid Red Tide).

We were welcomed with a beautiful evening on Anna Maria Island with a breathtaking sunset at The Sandbar Restaurant. The weather was wonderful — we couldn’t have asked for better! The beach was clear and there was zero odor in the air with a beautiful breeze lightly blowing.

We enjoyed an array of impressive dishes from local Anna Maria Island restaurants. Our Kitchen Manager, Jose Alvarado, featured our Grilled Grouper with “Anna Maria Island Sauce”. The dish was served with a blend of tomatoes, artichoke hearts, fresh basil, white wine, and herb butter.

We’d like to thank the hard work of so many that came together to make this night possible from attendees to businesses, like:
