In the letter, Vern Buchanan congratulated Andre on his retirement from the Sarasota Police Department. Buchanan also shared his gratitude in having the opportunity to recognize his 30 years of service, going on to say “I appreciate this opportunity to thank you for your dedicated public service and wish you health and happiness.”
Anna Maria Oyster Bar owner John Horne remarks, “it was an honor to meet such a fine public servant as Officer Jenkins. We look forward to seeing what he will accomplish next, as he has spent the past few years in night school preparing for his next career as a pharmacist, and we wish him success when he applies to University of South Florida next year.”
